Cardinal: Pray for dead and wounded in Easter attack in Lahore, Pakistan

A suicide bomber has killed at least 70 people and injured around 300 in an attack against Christians celebrating Easter Sunday in Lahore, Pakistan. In the wake of the Easter Sunday's Cardinal Vincent Nichols asks us to pray for the dead and those who have been wounded.

Pope Francis' Urbi et Orbi Easter Message 2016

Pope Francis delivered the traditional Urbi et Orbi blessing on Easter Sunday, following Mass in St. Peter's Square. Speaking to pilgrims and tourists gathered in the Square for the occasion, Pope Francis especially remembered the suffering peoples of Syria, Iraq, Libya and Yemen.

Two Outstanding Catholic Churches in Yorkshire now Grade I Listed

Bishop of Nottingham celebrates Mass with seafarers on board ship

“Learn English to Counter Hostility”, Salford Bishop Tells Refugees

Bishop John Arnold of Salford Diocese made his first visit to the asylum seeker charity Revive last week. He went to see first-hand how Revive are co-ordinating practical aid for asylum seekers and refugees in Manchester and Salford. He met with the staff and volunteers at Revive’s drop in centre in Kersal, where the marginalised are given advice, practical help, referrals, and a place to socialise. He then visited the Revive offices in Beswick, where there is an Immigration Department.

The Presidents of Churches Together in England encourage all churches in England to mark the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation in 2017 with sensitivity as we acknowledge our unity in Christ.
