Comment on the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill’s second reading in the House of Lords

"The Church’s principled objection to the legal re-definition of marriage is consistently and clearly set out. Following the Bill’s second reading in the House of Lords, the Church’s aim is to ensure the Bill, as it goes to committee stage, is amended so that it effectively delivers the protections that the Government promised to provide for schools, religious organisations and individuals."

Archbishop McDonald joins multi-faith meeting in Woolwich where Drummer Lee Rigby was murdered

On Friday 31 May, Archbishop Kevin McDonald, in his capacity as Chair of the Bishops' Conference Office for Interreligious Dialogue, joined several other faith leaders at the Woolwich Mosque in south east London as hundreds of Muslims gathered for Friday Prayers.

Archbishop of Cardiff’s New Evangelisation Initiative

The Most Rev George Stack, Archbishop of Cardiff, has begun a new evangelisation initiative to support the sharing of the Catholic Faith in Cardiff and to the whole of the Archdiocese. The ‘Come and See’ project is located at the Archdiocese’s new city-centre venue, the Cornerstone at St David’s, and aims to provide events and a warm welcome to those interested in finding out more about Catholicism.

CSAN: ‘Victims of trafficking and domestic violence cannot be left out in the cold’
